The Educachess Solidarity Project aims to bring chess closer to everyone and to promote solidarity through three main lines of action:
– Free and universal access to materials: all multilingual resources of the project —in PDF and interactive multimedia formats— will be offered free of charge so that any person or educational institution can use them, regardless of their economic situation.
– Printed materials with a solidarity purpose: currently, printed materials for students are available at very affordable prices for schools and chess clubs, in exchange for a donation to Down España. Once sponsorship or patronage is achieved, all proceeds from book sales will be allocated entirely to one or more charitable causes.
– Educachess Solidarity School Competition: aimed at all students in compulsory education, with registration fees of €1 (or an equivalent amount depending on the country), which will be donated entirely to solidarity projects. The challenges —available in PDF and interactive multimedia formats— will be based on educational chess activities and will encourage inclusive participation for all students.
Schools will be responsible for managing registrations and donations, selecting the charitable causes and transferring the funds directly to the beneficiaries.
In addition, Educachess will promote collaborations with foundations, social organizations, and public figures to increase the project’s visibility, strengthen its impact, and expand the funds dedicated to solidarity initiatives.
