This section presents a selection of legislative and institutional initiatives that urge governments to promote the implementation of chess in the fields of education and health.

These initiatives are essential to provide support and legitimacy for the deployment of public policies in this direction, but they are insufficient if they are not accompanied by solid projects that make their effective application viable. Without this foundation, the commitment risks remaining merely a declaration of intent.

For this reason, Educachess is developing a comprehensive project based on the educational chess approach, offering a concrete and already existing proposal to facilitate this implementation.

Resolution 752/VIII of the Parliament of Catalonia, on the spread and the promotion of the chess
On 21 July 2010, the Catalan Parliament approved a resolution urging the Government to declare public utility chess and to take action to promote it in the Catalan population, especially in the fields of education and Health.
