Chess for Everybody is a project that aims to contribute to the chess education of people from the age of six in a highly visual and enjoyable way. No previous knowledge of chess is required, as everything is explained from the beginning.

This collection consists of six books grouped into three levels: elementary, intermediate, and advanced. Each book covers content related to the opening, middlegame, and endgame, structured into ten units.

In the PDF on the right, general information about the collection can be found, as well as the tables of contents for all the books.

The new Chess for Everybody project also includes a teacher’s book, which proposes transdisciplinary activities and transfer triggers aimed at applying the skills developed through chess practice to other curricular contexts and to everyday or professional life. In this way, the collection incorporates the educational chess approach and enhances its formative dimension.

If the Elementary books of the Chess for Everybodycollection are used in primary education, with the aim of deepening chess learning beyond what is offered by the Play and Learn project, it is recommended to complement them with the transdisciplinary activities from that project. It should be noted that the activities proposed in the teacher’s book of Chess for Everybody are specifically designed for secondary education, while Play and Learn has been explicitly conceived for primary-level students.

Teacher book. Didactic guide and set of solutions

Book for teachers to implement educational chess in the secondary stage with the first two books of Initiation of the chess for all collection and its complementary materials.

It is structured in three blocks. In the first, the theoretical part on which the project is based in the stage is exposed. In the second, the objectives, the contents, the structure of the units, the typologies of the activities, the evaluative resources are shown… And, in the third, all the activities for each of the units of the three courses are presented.

The resources to carry out the multilevel activities of the students are found in the complementary materials: Stories about chess (comics), Tocado Movida (songs), Active Mind (dossiers on cognitive abilities), sheets for the workshops (downloadable PDF) and Investiga (dossiers on various chess challenges).

Student books. Elementary 1 and 2

	Featuring the basic knowledge necessary to be able to play a complete chess game. The level of difficulty of the solutions is one move and the reader indicates them with an arrow as move notation is not explained yet. The translation of the new Spanish version, which has 234 pages, is being updated.

The book of Chess for All is being updated. Initiation 1 to offer a version more adapted to educational chess but maintaining the same chess contents.
In this way it can be used both for a more traditional chess learning training (clubs and extracurricular activities) and for a more educational training (teaching schedule).

	Concepts on opening strategy are introduced, the repertoire of tactical and strategical resources in each phase of the game is enhanced. The level of difficulty of the solutions regarding subjects which are dealt with in more depth, is two or three moves.

	Opening theory is introduced. The reader starts to make plans based on assessment. Defensive play is dealt with more deeply, and the repertoire of tactical and strategical resources in each phase of the game is further enhanced.
